Session pricing

Straightforward rates. Pick what fits your schedule and goals — longer sessions allow more locations, more techniques, and more editing time.

1 Hour
$100 AUD
Camera setup, one location, fundamentals — a solid intro or targeted refresher.
2 Hours
$175 AUD
More time to shoot, refine technique, and cover multiple topics or light changes.
Half Day
$500 AUD
5 hours. Multiple locations, sunrise or sunset, in-depth coaching, and editing support.
Full Day
$1,000 AUD
10 hours. Multiple environments, full golden hour coverage, detailed editing session, and a workflow you can repeat at home.

Not sure which length is right? The 3-hour session is the most common starting point — enough time to shoot a proper golden hour session and do a meaningful edit review. If you want to cover astro as well, a half or full day gives enough runway for both field sessions and editing.

Private sessions are also a strong starting point before committing to a multiday workshop. A number of Dylan's Uluru, Sapphire Coast, and NZ participants had a private or masterclass session first. Past private clients get loyalty access to multiday workshop releases.

What past participants say

Real feedback from real workshops.

★★★★★

"Before the workshop, techniques like exposure blending and shooting full manual felt out of reach. Three days on the Sapphire Coast changed that. I left not just with shots I'm genuinely proud of — particularly nailing slow water — but with a real understanding of why the process works. For anyone at an intermediate level sitting on the fence, I'd say do it."

— Peter J. · Sapphire Coast Workshop, March 2026
★★★★★

"I considered myself a capable photographer before the workshop, but it surprised me how much I still had to learn — and how quickly small adjustments improved my results. Dylan challenged me creatively and helped me produce a collection of images I'm truly proud of. You gain so much more than just photos — you leave with practical skills, creative direction, and genuine confidence."

— Rebecca C. · Kiama Workshop
★★★★★

"Definitely worth it — expert tuition, incredible locations, and a great group of like-minded photographers. Since the workshop my photography has noticeably improved — I have a much better understanding of both capturing and processing shots. If you're sitting on the fence, just go."

FAQs

Direct answers before you enquire.

How do I book? +
Send an enquiry via the contact form with your preferred duration, topic, and rough dates. Dylan will confirm availability and lock in a time that works around conditions, tide, and light for your goals.
Can I bring a partner or friend? +
Yes — private sessions can include a partner, friend, or small group. The rate is per session, not per person, so it's good value if you share it. Just mention this when you enquire.
What locations are available? +
Sunshine Coast and Noosa are the home base. Point Cartwright, Coolum, Noosa Headland, Lake Weyba, Buderim Falls, Wild Horse Mountain, and more. Brisbane or further surrounds can be arranged — ask when you enquire.
What experience level do I need? +
None required. Complete beginners are welcome — the session is built around where you are, not where you should be. Manual mode is useful but not a prerequisite; Dylan will walk you through it.
Can we focus on editing only? +
Yes. If you want a Lightroom or Photoshop session without a field component, that's fine. Bring your laptop and your files. This works particularly well as a 2–3 hour session.
What if the weather is bad? +
We adapt. If conditions aren't suitable for the planned session, we'll reschedule or pivot to an editing/technique session. Safety always comes first.
Is accommodation included? +
No — private sessions are tuition only. If you're travelling from out of town, happy to suggest nearby accommodation options when you enquire.
What's the cancellation policy? +
72+ hours before: full refund.
Within 72 hours: no refund.
ACL rights apply regardless.
