FAQs
Are these workshops beginner-friendly?
Yes. If you're keen to learn, we'll help you set up your camera on location and tailor coaching to your level.
What gear do I need?
A DSLR/mirrorless camera, a solid tripod and a wide lens are the basics. Each workshop page includes a recommended gear list.
Do you teach Lightroom and Photoshop?
Yes. You'll get practical editing help so you can repeat the workflow at home.
What happens if the weather is bad?
We adapt. If it's unsafe, we pivot timing/locations and focus on learning and editing support.
Will I definitely see the Milky Way?
It can't be guaranteed. Astro sessions are planned around moon phase and forecasts, but clouds/haze can block visibility.
How fit do I need to be?
It varies by destination. Some sessions are short walks, others are longer hikes on uneven ground. Check the workshop page notes.
Are permits included?
We arrange permits/permissions where required for the locations and activities we run. Other inclusions vary by workshop page.
Do you allow drones on the workshop?
Drones aren't part of the workshop. If you fly independently, check current CASA rules and any local site restrictions.
What's the group size?
Max 3–4 photographers per intake. That's deliberate: more coaching and cleaner decision-making when conditions change.
How much do the workshops cost?
Pricing varies by destination and inclusions. Each workshop page lists the current price in $AUD.
Is accommodation included?
It depends on the workshop. Some include accommodation and some are tuition-only with self-booked stays. The individual workshop page confirms what's included.
What's your cancellation and refund policy?
Your booking is covered by our cancellation/refund policy and Terms & Conditions. We recommend reading these before booking and arranging travel insurance.
Can a partner or non-participant tag along?
Usually not on shoots, as access, group size and safety planning are based on participants only. If you have a specific request, contact us and we'll advise what's possible for that workshop.
Can you help me choose the right workshop?
Yes. Tell us what you want to shoot (seascapes/astro/landscapes), your experience level, and your dates, and we'll recommend the best fit.
